Fleeting Summer: Embracing Colorado's Vibrant Greens
Fleeting Summer It's been a while since I have posted, but I haven't stopped creating. I have taken a detour to explore fiber art as well as classical drawing and oil painting. I will hopefully have some more posts on these topics coming soon. In the meantime, I wanted to share this painting I created while on vacation. This painting is for sale on my website , but first, let me describe a little bit about the process. This painting came from a visit to a camping site in northern Colorado during the summer. The rain was pretty frequent this past year, so everything stayed green much longer than usual. It was a welcomed site in Colorado after all the wildfires we have had over the past several years. I take my soft pastels with me whenever my husband and I go camping. Sometimes, I just take reference photos instead. The painting above is from one such reference photo.
